You may start to observe that I love adding jackets to my looks. Your favorite leather jacket can perfectly take you from late summer temperatures to the cool beginnings of fall. This specific jacket is from Express. Its called (minus the) leather jacket, and I have it in the dark brown color. For the past few years Express has been bringing it back in their stores right before the winter months and it disappears right before spring starts. They offer it in black, and a lighter brown color. I have noticed that outwear from Express usually runs a bit large, but this specific style is pretty true to size.
My necklace is from a designer named Yochi. Each of her pieces are handmade in the New York Fashion District and they all have a unique quality about them- each piece looks like a work of art, adorning simple outfits and making them look special. This specific necklace feels like a statement piece. Its a shiny gold metal with a few rows of bright crystals. The classic collar design creates the ideal, vintage look and the ridges along with the crystals adds a special flair. It is perfect for matching with collared tops and sweaters adding a bit of edginess into prim and proper silhouettes. Since its a bit of a “loud” piece of jewelry, I stay away from adding any more trinkets so the necklace alone can get the attention it deserves.
The long black maxi racer back tank dress I’m wearing under my jacket is very light and comfortable. It was fairly inexpensive, around $20 by a brand called KMystic I found on Amazon. I’ve only washed it once so far, so I cant speak much about the quality yet, but I can say that the black color did not fade at all after the first wash and there was no shrinkage either. It’s a blend of polyester and spandex so it has a slight stretch and a hint of shine to it which makes is appear more expensive than its cost. It comes in about a dozen different colors but basing on the “thinness” of the material, I think its pretty safe to say that anything lighter than black will be at least semi sheer.
My hair is simply blow dried and I’ve kept my makeup pretty standard. Brown eye shadows with multiple coats of mascara and a slightly darker shade of pink lipstick complete this look.
Here is what I’m wearing for your convenience:
