About the restaurant: A casual restaurant with a trendy vibe. Limited alcohol menu serving only beer and wine. Menu is a mix of tapas style small bites and regular portion options influenced by Spanish and Asian cuisine – mostly Americanized Korean popular dishes.

My Thoughts: I’d never go here on purpose or by choice again – everything was edible (if you’re really hungry) and forgettable.

We ordered a few different menu items – none of them tasted amazing, but they were eatable.
1. Stuffed dates and figs – Tasted really bad, but I don’t like blue cheese. My friend thought they were edible but not good. Presentation looked like sad roaches to me. Yuck.

2. Avocado mango salad – Probably the best tasting thing we ordered. However, it was simply sliced avocados, chopped mangoes, salad leaves, raisins, and a salty/watery dressing. Not something i can’t chop up at home. Better than meh.

3.Korean  BBQ Tacos – bulgogi and kalbi – I couldn’t tell the difference between them – sweet and oily. Meh. I asked for hot sauce on the side- that was good, super spicy and tangy.

4. Korean BBQ burger with fries – Didn’t even ask how I liked my burger cooked… sad overcooked beef slab. Fries were okay with ketchup. Ranch was gross 🙁

Sahale Snacks Glazed Nuts Cashews with Pomegranate + Vanilla

Just the title makes my mouth watery – cashews, pomegranate, and vanilla are a few of my favorite flavors, and they are all packed in to one snack in this bag. When you open the bag, you find whole roasted cashews combined with pomegranate infused apples, and a hint of pure vanilla bean – The flavor profile is heavenly; nutty, sweet, and slightly salty.

I found this snack a few years ago at a movie theatre called Harkins in Chino Hills, Ca. Its not a common theatre chain here in Southern California, and they had a positively unique touch to their establishment along with the choices in their snacks. I was trying to avoid buying junk food and picked up a bag of the Sahale Snacks Glazed Nuts Cashews with Pomegranate + Vanilla. Since then, it has become a staple snack in my pantry. I have to fly quiet often for my work, and this is one of my favorite things to munch on without feeling overly guilty on long flights.

I got the ingredients from the bag and all the components are recognizable which is a nice surprise. Here they are if you are interested: Cashews, Dried Apples, Sugar, Natural Pomegranate Flavor, Citric Acid, Fruit & Vegetable Juice, Organic Evaporated Cane Juice, Organic Tapioca Syrup, Brown Sugar, Natural Vanilla Extract, Sea Salt, Dried Pomegranate, Pomegranate Juice Concentrate, Dried Orange Peel, Pure Ground Vanilla Beans.

Granted these are a bit higher in price than a few other common options, but the taste and the quality justifies the price tag. Though the pomegranate and vanilla glazed cashews are my favorite, their other flavor options are also pretty enticing.  I’m listing the most common and easily found flavors below. They can be found in most grocery stores, supermarkets, and Amazon.
